Basic Faith Statement

Jesus is the center of our faith

Community is the center of our life

Reconciliation is the center of our work

We acknowledge:

1. One God, the Father and Creator of all things,

2. Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior. As the Son of God, He alone is Lord of our life, the example of how we are to live, and the only Savior of our sins.

3. The Holy Spirit as the indwelling presence of Jesus, empowering and enabling us to follow Christ as His disciple in all areas of life.

4. The Bible as the written Word of God and the guide for our faith and practice. It is interpreted through the lens of Jesus by the Spirit-led community of faith.

5. The Church to be the community of God's people on earth, and called to be the presence of God in the world.

We accept the current Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective as a more detailed statement of our faith.
